PAKISTAN COLLABORATION

Within the framework of the Technical Cooperation Project (TCP) and the request of Ministry of National Food Security and Research, the “Training program on Distinctness, Uniformity, and Stability (DUS) examination/ assessments of new crop variety” was held on 4-7th September 2018 at Lahore, Pakistan and organized by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and Crop Life Pakistan. Dr. Hoang Le Khang, on behalf of SCSC, was invited to participate as a key lecturer.The training course aims not only were to improve skills of the DUS test on new crops for participants from private and publish sector but also to enhance the technical capacity in the Plant Variety Protection area in the effective enforcement of the Act 2015 and Plant Breeder' right Act 2016 in Pakistan.
